Yellow Hearts Rug and Cloth Basket (Tapestry)
A rug made of 2 large squares with a yellow heart on a lead gray background, embroidered with tapestry or led thread technique. The colors are reversed in the basket, which is worked with the same technique in the middle low crochet.
I combined the squares of the carpet with a clear basting because I thought it would be more interesting… This piece was very suitable for coming out of the bathroom, for example

I worked on 2 pieces with a 10 mm needle. In the case of baskets, the thicker the yarn, the better this centered low point, which gives the baskets a very strong support. In addition to the beautiful effect it brings to the pieces, they are more solid than the common low point.

Graphics
Below is a graph of the heart and square, all worked with double crochet and represented by the red dots. Using the tapestry technique or guided thread, the threads come together throughout the work, and when the red stitches are reached, the thread of the color you want the heart, in this case yellow, and the other thread in this case lead. walks in gray, yellow dots. When the part of the dots shown in black in the graph comes, the colors are reversed and the lead gray wire is processed, while the yellow goes inside the gray dots. And such…

Once the squares are ready, simply combine them the way you want. Then I made 1 row of frequent needles around the whole piece and finally I made 1 row of shifted loops between the single row and the last row of double handrails in the squares. Mop ready 😉
Worked under the graphic and the small heart on the sides to make the base of the basket. The basket is made in a centered single crochet, where the needle is inserted not into the loops as usual, but between the “V” of the first single crochet row (see image below). Continue this stitch across the piece and use the same technique described above to make the heart.
