Sizing Information:

  • Finished Measurements: 33 (35, 40, 44, 48, 51, 55) inches and 84 (89, 102, 112, 122, 130, 140) cm bust circumference
  • 3” of positive ease in the bust and 2” of positive ease in the sleeves
  • Model wears a size Small (35″ bust circumference)

Yarn & Gauge:

  • 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Cascade Yarns Ecological Wool (478 yds/437m per 250g/8.82 oz skein) in color Ecru
  • Gauge 16sts/24 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch in the round

Needles & Notions:

  • US 10 (6mm) 32”/80cm circular needle
  • Set of US 10 (6mm) double-pointed needles
  • US 8 (5mm) 32”/80cm circular needle (optional but recommended for ribbing)

Cozy Raglan Sweater Knitting Pattern

 

Materials:

  • Yarn: 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Cascade Yarns Ecological Wool (478 yds/437m per 250g/8.82 oz skein) in color Ecru
  • Needles:
    • US 10 (6mm) 32”/80cm circular needle
    • Set of US 10 (6mm) double-pointed needles
    • US 8 (5mm) 32”/80cm circular needle (optional but recommended for ribbing)
    • Set of US 8 (5mm) double-pointed needles (optional but recommended for ribbing)
  • Notions: 6 stitch markers, scrap yarn, tapestry needle

Gauge: 16sts/24 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch in the round

Instructions:

Body:

  1. Using US 10 (6mm) circular needle, cast on stitches according to your desired size.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch in the round until the piece measures approximately [desired length] from the cast-on edge. Place markers for raglan shaping if desired.
  3. For raglan shaping, decrease as follows:
    • [K2, k2tog, knit until 4 stitches remain before marker, ssk, k2] for raglan decreases. Repeat for all markers.
  4. Continue until the desired length for the body is reached.

Sleeves (Make 2):

  1. Using US 10 (6mm) double-pointed needles, cast on stitches according to your desired size.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch in the round until the sleeve measures approximately [desired length] from the cast-on edge.
  3. For raglan shaping, decrease as follows:
    • [K2, k2tog, knit until 4 stitches remain before marker, ssk, k2] for raglan decreases. Repeat for all markers.
  4. Continue until the desired length for the sleeves is reached.

Ribbing (Optional):

  1. Switch to US 8 (5mm) needles if desired for ribbing.
  2. Work [desired number of rounds] of ribbing (k1, p1) for cuffs and bottom edge of the sweater, if preferred.

Finishing:

  1. Bind off all stitches and weave in ends.
  2. Seam sleeves to the body using mattress stitch or preferred seaming method.
  3. Block the sweater to the desired measurements.

Notes:

  • Adjust the length of the body and sleeves according to personal preference.
  • Customize the ribbing or omit it entirely for a different look.
