Materials:
Yarn: 500 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yard = 240 m/100 g); 5 mm (US 8) quick knitting needles and a 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needle 40 cm long.
Rib Pattern: bottom K2, P2.
Great Seed Stitch: lower K1, P1.
Slip sts in every 2nd RS row.
Cable Model:
Work according to the schedule. Only RS rows are shown.
In WS rows, work all loops as they appear.
Work Rows 1 – 14 once, then repeat Rows 3 – 14 from start to finish.
Gauge:
Great Seed St: 15 loops and 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
In Cable Pat: 72 sts = 34 сm width.
Highlight drops:
At the beginning of the row: selv st, skpo (= knit 1 stitch, k1, skip stitch), work until the last 3 stitches at the end of the row, k2tog, selv st.
Back:
Knit 81 stitches and work 9 Rows in Rib Patt, increasing 13 stitches evenly through the last row = 94 stitches.
Continuation: selv st, 10 stitches in Seed Stitch, 72 stitches in Cable Pattern, 10 stitches in Seed Stitch, selv st.
Shaping Arm Groove: When the piece is 53 cm from the beginning, finish 5 stitches once at each end, then 1 stitch accent reduction = 74 stitches every 2nd row.
After 72 cm from the head, cut 20 loops on each side for the shoulders, center 34 loops and place them in the holder for the collar.
Front:
Work like the back, but for the neckline, when the piece is 67 cm from the head, close the 18 loops in the middle, then cut 3 loops every 2nd row, a 2 loops and 3 times 1 loop from the sides to roll.
When the piece is 72 cm long, cut 20 loops on each side for the shoulders.
sleeved:
Knit 30 stitches and work 8 Rows in Rib Patt, increasing 14 stitches evenly through the last row = 44 loops.
Continuation: selv st, 10 stitches in Seed Stitch, 22 stitches in Cable Pattern (st 26th to 47th of chart), 10 stitches in Seed Stitch, selv st.
Sleeve Shaping: Increase 1 stitch in the 8th row, 10 times from both ends = 64 stitches.
Head Shaping: When the piece is 48 cm from the beginning, cut 5 stitches from each end once, then decrease 2 stitches 3 times in every 2nd row, 1 stitch 4 times in every 4th row, and then 1 stitch 6 times on each side. 2nd row with accentuated drops. Connect rem 20 sts.
Finishing:
Join the seams. Snap sleeves.
Collar: Insert loops from holder into circular needle, gather 10 loops between them and work with Rib Patt on all loops = 72 loops.
Continue until the collar size is 22 cm. Loosely tie all loops.
