Bougainvillea Shawl Making
For the bougainvillea shawl, I used alize angora gold glitter yarn. 2 strings are enough. I knitted with a size 3.5 skewer. Although it may seem difficult, it is actually quite easy. It just needs some attention. The depth of the finished measure is around 38-40 cm.
At the beginning we draw 3 chains with a different thread. We remove 3 loops from this chain with the yarn that we will knit the shawl with. And we knit khashos until there are 88 rows. When we are finished with our Haraşo knitting, we turn our knitting on its side and remove the loop from it. The three loops at the beginning are on the skewer and we remove 88 threads next to it. We take off the yarn we knit with a different color and take 3 stitches from there. We will have 94 stitches in total. Although it may seem a little complicated, you will knit very easily when you get the needle in your hand. When this process is finished, you will knit 3 straight, 88 purl, 3 straight in the back row. There will be 94 loops in total. Now we are starting to build the bougainvillea shawl pattern as we have explained below.

Row 1 (RS)-3 knit,(1 knit,1 knit,1 knit,2 knit,1 knit 3 knit,2 cut 2 right)x 11,1 knit 3

Row 2 (WS)-2 knit, cut 2 right (reverse 2 loops together, purl 8) x 11, knit 3

Row 3(RS)-3 knit, (1 knit 1 knit, 1 knit 1 knit, 2 knits 1 knit 4 knits, 2 cuts right)x 11, 1 knit 3 knits

Row 4 (WS)-2 knit, cut 2 to the right (reverse 2 loops together, purl 9) x 11, knit 3

Row 5(RS)-3 knit, (1 knit 1 knit, 1 knit 1 knit, 2 knits 1 knit 5 knits, 2 knits right)x 11, 1 knit 3 knits

Row 6 (WS)-2 knit, cut 2 right (reverse 2 loops together, purl 10) x 11, knit 3

Row 7(RS)-3 knit, (1 knit 1 knit, 1 knit 1 knit, 2 knits 1 crochet 6 knits, 2 knits right)x 11, 1 knit 3 knits

Row 8 (WS)-2 knit, cut 2 right (reverse 2 loops together, purl 11) x 11, knit 3

Row 9(RS)-3 knit, (1 knit 1 knit, 1 knit 1 knit, 2 knits 1 knit 7 knits, 2 knits right)x 11, 1 knit 3 knits

Row 10 (WS)-2 knit, cut 2 right (reverse 2 loops together, purl 12) x 11, knit 3

Row 11(RS)-3 knit, (1 knit 1 knit, 1 knit 1 knit, 2 knits 1 crochet 8 knits, 2 knits right)x 11, 1 knit 3 knits

Row 12 (WS)-2 knit, cut 2 right (reverse 2 loops together, purl 13) x 11, knit 3

……

We continue in the above order until the end of the 62nd row.

Row 63(RS)-3 knit, (1 knit 1 knit, 1 knit 1 knit, 2 knits 1 knit 34 knits, 2 knits right)x 11, 1 knits 3 knits

Row 64 (WS)-2 knit, cut 2 right (reverse 2 loops together, purl 39) x 11, knit 3

When we count our loops in this section, there should be 447 loops. Numbers must be complete and correct. Otherwise, the leaf parts of our bougainvillea shawl will go wrong. Now we start the edge part. When we finish the edge part, we will make our shawl stretching. In the shawl stretching process, we first wet our shawl. We will need a lot of needles here. And we attach needles one by one by stretching them to the ends. We leave it to dry. After drying, we steam the iron and wait for it to dry again. Our bougainvillea shawl is ready. Feel happy while using it.
